The Rescue Dog who Rescued Me

Diesel, the rescue dog, came into my life 3 years ago. When a childhood friend found out I had cancer, she said "I want to give you a gift.

I know that this gift will get you through this difficult time in your life".

When she told me the gift was a dog from the Rescue Shelter I was adamant and afraid that I would not be able to care for him.

As it turned out this amazing rescue dog took care of me. He was only a puppy when I got him. Now Diesel is going on 4 and I have been free of cancer for four years.

This was the best gift anyone has ever given me; the gift of life.

So when people ask if Diesel is a rescue dog, I gladly say "no, he rescued me".

So every year I celebrate his birthday with a Big Bang and in Diesel's name we collect donations for a Dog Rescue Shelter in our area.
